//Our History
  • Future Plans

During our next year, Children’s Contact Services will continue its commitment to the work we do by:

    * Continuing to provide a unique needs led service for Children and Young People.

    * Developing intervention strategies to support and strengthen families in difficulties that show positive measurable outcomes.

    * Offering high calibre, dedicated and committed staff.

    * Expanding and improving our workforce to the best of their ability.

  • 2022

Wow what a start to the year! Full steam ahead as we saw families returning at speed. So lovely to have the families back and the sound of happy children in our playroom.
As we continue to grow the decision was made for Children’s Contact Services to purchase its own premises which we are delighted to announce. We are all looking forward to positive years ahead as we continue to grow and expand, whilst positively changing lives for children.

  • 2021

In early 2021 services slowly started to resume to normal as families became more confident in our safety-first approach. As the year ended normal level of contacts and support resumed.

  • 2020

We were forced to consider new and innovative ideas as Covid-19 surged through our country. The Bristol Centre closed for short period. However, we supported our local social services with providing valuable emergency services during this period. We reopened in the summer with strict Covid-19 policies in place and supported families staying in touch. At such an unprecedented time we introduced virtual contact for those most vulnerable to ensure children could remain in contact with their loved ones. Children’s Contact Services Staff were a credit to the organisation.

  • 2019

In 2019 we expanded our team and welcomed new staff and an innovative new office manager who ensured a standard of excellence across all our services.

  • 2018

In 2018 we supported hundreds of vulnerable children and families and successfully achieved continued enhanced accreditation from the National Association Of Child Contact Centres for our Bristol Centre.

  • 2017

In early 2017 we changed our name of the company to Children’s Contact Services to reflect the service we now provide.

  • 2016

After 4 years of operation, in 2016 we expanded our services to cover all over the South of England, West of England and Wales providing a much-needed service to vulnerable children and their families.

  • 2014

In 2014 after being established in the local community throughout Bristol and the surrounding areas we achieved enhanced accreditation from the National Association of Child Contact Services after years’ worth of hard work.

The Service was set up to provide Supervised and Supported contact in a safe environment within Bristol and the surrounding area. The service has successfully developed to provide detailed reports for court purposes over the years.

Using the company’s wide connections, we were commissioned by local authorities to deliver contact services for families going through separation. The learning from this direct work with parents gave our staff confidence to work with families in need and offer interventions that prevented family breakdown and children entering the care system.

  • Our Message

The company was formed with this simple message that is still extant today “This is for all the children who don’t live with their families… ‘We can’t take away the past but we can sure help make the future better.”

  • Our Founder

The founder of Children’s Contact Services is a registered Child Protection Social worker in Bristol who has worked with children and families for over 20 years. Our first projects were for vulnerable children and their families, enabling them to feel included and supported.

  • CCS provide a service for the most vulnerable children in our society

The service was developed in 2013 following years of research into the available contact services in the Bristol and surrounding areas.
